Take in the museums or the Old Town, reconstructed in the aftermath of the Second World War in the old style. The second-largest city, Krakow, is home to Wawel Castle, an example of many types of architecture, and the fascinating Wieliczka Salt Mine, where miners created statues out of blocks of salt.
